Based on the known benefits of the FLO-CON system this mechanism provides:

The mechanism is clamped by means of a light hydraulic cylinder

All springs are mounted on the pressure plate. Advantages:
- The exchange of a complete set is provided with one handle
- Optimum distribution of the contact pressures on the refractory plate
3 – Plate System Model XX17.3
Based on Model 4217 / 6317
Stroke: 130 / 152 mm Height: Standard-Height + 30 mm Clamping of the Mechanism: hydraulic (Standard 4217 / 6317)
Refractories:
- Top plate > standard (4217 or 6317)
- The regulating middle plate has the same outer dimensions as the Top and bottom plate.
- The fixed bottom plate is equal to the bottom plate of the 2 plate mechanism.

The mounting plate is equal to the mounting plate of the Model 4217 / 6317. Therefore, changing to the 3 or 2 plate mechanism is easy.

Conversion of 2-plate version on a 3 plates version
With the technology of Knöllinger it is possible to convert a traditional FLO-CON unit 4200/6300 or XX17 into a 3-plate version.
