Example of different actuation systems
The actuation of ladle slide gates is often a challenge. Be it for reasons of space or the desire to adopt a special existing actuation system. If a customer is satisfied with their actuating cylinders or the process makes parallel operation with different actuating cylinders difficult, we are happy to check the adaptation to the existing system. In this way, investments and costs can be kept to a minimum.
Directly coupled cylinder
In this picture the cylinders are hooked directly into the Cylinder support. If the situation allows, this variant is preferable. The cylinders are not shown.
Transfer Actuating System
Sometimes the place where the actuating cylinder is hooked in is further away from the ladle slide gate. In this case, a transfer system is used. The shape of the transfer rods is adapted to the circumstances. The shape may vary depending on the customer cylinder, ladle shape and customer requirements. Here is an example of a transfer linkage:
